Add a product
A product is what customers book: what it is, how long it lasts, what it costs and where it happens.
For admins
Before you start: connect Stripe and add a resource.
Select Create product to start a new product, or open one to change it. Duplicate copies a product to start from.
Basic information
Add a product image.
Give it a name customers will understand, such as "5-a-side Football Session", and a category.
Set the price and duration in minutes.
Choose the VAT treatment, and whether the price includes VAT. HMRC treats each type differently, so pick the one that fits this sale. Customers see the VAT status next to the price.
Choosing the VAT treatment
20% VAT: The standard rate, for most sales
5% VAT: The reduced rate, such as some energy or children's car seats
Zero VAT: Zero-rated sales: 0%, but still a VAT sale reported to HMRC
No VAT: Exempt or outside the scope, such as when you're not VAT registered
Turn on Price includes VAT if the price you enter is what customers pay. Pair then shows the VAT inside it, for example "Includes £1.67 VAT" on a £10 price. Until you choose a treatment, it reads Not applicable.
If you're not sure which treatment applies, check with your accountant or HMRC.

Set Days before event to turn off online booking close to the date: set to 1, a booking for tomorrow can only be made by phone. The number shown is the mobile number on your system admin's account, in Settings › Your account › Mobile number. It's moving to your organisation's details in General settings soon.
Resource and availability
Choose the resource where it takes place. You can link more than one, so the same product can be booked in different places at the same time.
Set the start date and end date.
In Weekly schedule, turn on each day it runs and set its start and end times. Apply to All Days copies one day's times to the rest.
In Unavailable days, select any date to block it, and select it again to free it. Green dates are available, orange are days turned off in the weekly schedule, and red are dates you've blocked.
Checkout questions
Every booking always asks for full name, email and phone, which fill the customer's CRM record. To ask more, select Add question and pick a CRM customer field, or create one. Use default questions starts from your standard set. Answers go onto the customer's CRM record and stay with the booking.
Confirmation email
Turn on Use its own wording to give the product its own subject line, heading and a message under it, such as directions, what to bring or parking. Anything left empty uses your standard booking confirmation. Select Preview email to check it.
Select Save Changes when you're done.
