Getting started with Staffing
Set these up first, in this order. Every shift depends on them.
For admins
Customers, in CRM. Every event belongs to a customer, so add the customers you staff events for first.
Shift roles, in Staffing › Roles: the names your customers use for each kind of job, such as Cleaner, Steward, SIA or Supervisor. Each one usually has its own pay rate.
Locations, in Staffing › Locations: where the work happens, with pay and charge rates for each shift role there (see below).
Qualifications, in Staffing › Qualifications: anything a shift needs, such as an SIA licence or a site induction.
Teams, in Staffing › Teams: groups of casual staff, so you can share shifts with only the people in a group (see below).
Duty manager phone, in Settings › Staffing, if you use lone worker check-ins.
Locations and rates
Select Add Location, enter the address and check the pin on the map. The time zone is set for you from where it is.
Select £ beside the location to open Manage Rates.
For each shift role, set the pay type (Hourly or Fixed) and pay rate: what you pay workers. Then set the charge type and charge rate: what you charge the customer.
Select Save Rates.
These rates are what Pair uses to work out shift pay. When you add a shift at the location, its pay and charge rates are filled in from here. You can change them on the shift, which helps when you work at the same place for different customers who pay different rates.
Use the eye to see a location's details and map, the pencil to edit it, and the bin to delete it.
Teams
Group your casual staff, so a shift is only shared with the people in that group, such as everyone trained for one venue.
In Staffing › Teams, add a team and give it a name and description.
Select the people icon beside the team to open Manage Team Members.
Under Select workers, choose the people to add and their role in the team, then select Add Members.
When you create an event or a shift, choose which teams can see it.
To take someone out of a team, select the bin beside their name. Use Print or Export CSV for a list of a team's members.
Staffing teams are separate from departments in Settings › People.
