Tasks that wait on other tasks

Make a task wait until another is done, even one in a different project.

1. Open the task, then go to Waits on.

2. Select Pick the task this one waits on, and search or browse. Tasks are grouped by project, with the current project first.

3. Choose the Dependency type:

• FS · Finish → Start: This task can't start until the other finishes. The usual choice

• SS · Start → Start: This task can't start until the other starts

• FF · Finish → Finish: This task can't finish until the other finishes

• SF · Start → Finish: This task can't finish until the other starts

The task then shows which task it's waiting on, and that it can't start before then. Select the cross beside the task to remove the link.
