Task templates
Set up each kind of project once, so its tasks, owners and deadlines are created for you.
For admins
Open Templates, then create a template, or open one to change it. Give it a name and a colour. Used by shows how many projects use it.
Build the starter template: the sections and tasks every new project of this type starts with. Select + Section to add sections, such as To do, Doing and Done, and use the arrows to reorder them.
In a section, type a task name in Add task and press Enter.
Open each task to set it up:
Role (planning only): the job title that usually does it, used for planning.
Anchor: the project date its deadline is worked out from, such as the Study/Survey Date.
Offset: how many days or weeks before or after the anchor it's due. 0 means on the anchor date.
Weight (%): how much it counts towards the project's progress.
Est. hours: how long it should take.
Predecessor: a task it follows. None means it's active from the project's start.
Check the Schedule preview on the right, which shows when each task falls.
The footer shows the total weight, which should reach 100%, and the total estimate in hours.
Use the copy button to duplicate a template. Changing a template only affects new projects, not live ones.
