Branded portals for your customers

Give a customer their own branded portal, so they can train their own staff on your courses. You keep ownership of the content.

For admins

Before you start: the customer must be an organisation in CRM, and your courses must be published.

  1. Create the portal, choosing the CRM customer it belongs to.

  2. Select Manage on the portal, then set it up in Settings: web address, welcome text, logo and colour, allowed email domains, maximum students and expiry date.

  3. In Courses, share the courses that should appear in its catalogue.

  4. In LMS › Students, add the person who'll run the portal as a student of this organisation, and enrol them on a course.

  5. Back in Manage, open Admins and promote them to admin, then Save changes.

  6. Send them the portal link or QR code.

Good to know: someone can only be made an admin once they're a learner in that portal, enrolled on a course. Until then, Admins says there are no learners to promote. Company name and contacts come from the CRM customer, so change them there.

Portal settings

  • Portal slug: The end of the portal's web address, such as /portal/admac. Portal access shows the link to copy, open or share as a QR code

  • Welcome text: Shown to learners on the portal sign-in page

  • Logo and colour: Shown on the sign-in page and the portal header. A square logo works best

  • Allowed email domains: Only email addresses on these domains can join. Leave it empty to allow any email

  • Max students: How many learners the customer can have. Empty means no limit

  • Access expires: The date the portal stops working, if it should

In Courses, a shared course joins the portal's catalogue. Learners see it once they're enrolled: select Enrol all to enrol everyone in the portal, or enrol people one at a time in LMS › Students.

What your customer sees

Learners and admins sign in at the portal link with the email you invited and their password. Anyone without a password yet uses the invitation link in their email.

  • My learning shows each learner's courses, what's to do and done, and certificates to download.

  • Organisation is for portal admins only. It shows their learners, courses and completion, how each course is doing, and Reporting on who has completed what, with Download CSV.

Admins select Add learner to add their own people, up to your Max students limit, then choose which courses each one takes.

Limits to know about

A learner the customer deletes still counts towards Max students. If one is deleted by mistake, the only way to make room again is to raise Max students by one in the portal's settings.

Learners in a customer portal are portal users: they sign in to that portal only, never to Pair.
