Opportunities and projects
Track work from first conversation to delivery.
Add the customer, as an organisation.
Create an opportunity for the work you hope to win.
When it's won, convert the opportunity into a project, and add a task list if the work needs one. Task lists show in the Tasks app.
Good to know:
Each project has one opportunity it came from.
Every opportunity gets its own number, such as OPP-001. When one job has several parts that may be won at different times, add each part as a linked opportunity: OPP-001.01, OPP-001.02 and so on, up to OPP-001.99. Each part can be won and turned into a project on its own, and all of them stay grouped under OPP-001.
An opportunity linked to a job after it was created keeps the next free number it was given, such as OPP-003, so gaps in the numbers are normal.
